Phototherapy

Photography is an art that illustrates all areas of human knowledge such as: humanism, geography, history, astronomy, and others. A photographic image documenting past facts in the field of human emotion is the subject of our study for this assignment.

LOVE. My photograph shows two hands intertwined backed by a multitude of bright, colorful flowers. I think of the warmth that two people conveyed holding hands. Flowers will always be present in this human adventure of love. These two persons, without a determined link between them, by marriage, courtship, and /or friendship, hold hands as an unmistakable sign of love and affection.

COMFORT- In this image, you can see something very simple but highly comforting: the relief of tired feet under a caress of foamy, warm water emitting fragrant essences, which gives us a heaven of well-being. There is joy, relaxation, and pleasure when we comfort a part of our body.

HAPPYNESS- There are many ways to represent happiness. I chose the image of several vivid colored balloons united with each other and the sunlight that pours into them. The photograph reminds me of the joy and happiness balloons bring us as children in many happy occasions and especially when they sway with the wind…  Today, the balloon colors reminds me of the flag of Ukraine.

FEAR- This photograph represents humanity’s fear of death, the inexorable end path of life.  The photo shows lonely, starry nights, funeral caskets, and figures of skeletons in party dresses playing music for unrestrained souls. In some Latin American cultures, the skull is a festive figure – a way to disguise fear but represents the end of life.

HATE- I chose a black-and-white photograph to represent drama. It shows the world impact of Putin’s decision of using destructive machinery of war against people. The seed of hate in our minds against Putin will last for generations. I watch the news and I see hate turning into death and desolation.
